The International POLICY forum 2026

(quick guide)

Where is the Onsite Forum taking place?
The Forum will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia. Venue details will be confirmed in June 2026 and included in the Delegate Information Pack issued to confirmed participants. For enquiries, contact admintipf2026@globalconnex.id

There is no separate conference or registration fee. For fullboard participants, all costs are covered through the mandatory logistics package, which includes accommodation, transportation, meals, and logistical support.

The Forum Access Pass is a participation package for delegates who arrange their own accommodation. It covers access to all Forum sessions, meals during Forum days, and logistical support — but does not include hotel accommodation.

This package is available to: academic researchers, university faculty, postgraduate students, civil society representatives, and government observers arranging their own accommodation.

For invited delegates travelling from outside Indonesia, the Single Fullboard package is the most cost-effective option, as it includes 3 nights at the official venue hotel — at a rate comparable to or lower than arranging accommodation independently in Jakarta.

The four thematic areas of TIPF 2026 are:

  1. Regulatory Navigation in DFS and IPS: Cross-jurisdictional regulatory frameworks for digital finance and instant payment systems; consumer protection in the regulatory perimeter.
  2. Consumer Education and Experience in DFS and IPS: Financial literacy frameworks for digital users; user experience and deceptive design; informed consent in digital onboarding; vulnerable consumer protection in digital contexts; behavioural insights for consumer empowerment.
  3. Crypto and Tokenised Assets — Consumer Risks and Awareness: Consumer risk frameworks for crypto-asset markets; tokenised real-world assets; stablecoin consumer protection; cross-border crypto fraud; investor education vs investor protection; principles for jurisdictions developing crypto consumer regulation.
  4. Redress Mechanisms in Digital Financial Services: Effective complaint and dispute resolution in digital finance; cross-border redress for digital fraud; ombudsman models for DFS; alternative dispute resolution; collective redress mechanisms; data evidence requirements for digital consumer claims.
Produce a consensus Outcome Document. A short summary endorsed at the Forum and a full document with annexes finalised post-Forum under joint LPKNI–CI editorial oversight.

The Forum’s primary working language is English. All official documentation, sessions, and the Output Document will be in English. Please contact the Secretariat if you require language support arrangements.

The pre-forum questionnaire will be sent to all confirmed participants after registration is approved. It captures your country’s key challenges in digital financial consumer protection to shape the Working Group agenda.

Please inform the Secretariat of any accessibility, dietary, or mobility requirements when completing your registration, or contact us directly at admintipf2026@globalconnex.id. We are committed to ensuring inclusive participation for all confirmed delegates.
